Renter Advocate I Apartment Hunting Guide I Founder of Noon Knows

Former Landlord, Current renter ally. Always in your corner.

Hi, I’m Shannon - a former property manager turned renter advocate on a mission to help you rent smarter and live better. After more than 15 years in property management and apartment leasing, I saw firsthand how confusing and frustrating it can be to rent an apartment - especially when no one gives you straight answers. The system doesn’t exactly come with a handbook, and that’s where Noon Knows comes in.

That’s why I created Noon Knows - a renter education platform that gives you the tools, resources, and advice you need to confidently find an apartment, navigate lease agreements, handle maintenance issues, and protect your security deposit.

Whether you’re apartment hunting, negotiating a lease, or preparing to move out, I’m here to help you avoid common mistakes, ask the right questions, and advocate for yourself throughout the entire renting process.

This isn’t legal advice or landlord-bashing. It’s real talk, practical support, and easy-to-follow guides that help renters take control.

When I’m not building renter resources, you can find me volunteering with my local animal shelter, singing my heart out at karaoke, or hunting for the perfect cup of coffee.

If you’re ready to take the guesswork out of renting, I’d love for you to explore my free guides or connect with me directly. Let’s make renting less stressful and way more empowering - together.

Okay…Why NOON?

It all started with a computer glitch. On my very first day, at my very first community, the system decided to turn my name - Shannon - into Shanoon. What a way to start as a newbie Assistant. Enter, Erica Stone, my very first Community Manager(and all-around legend, who we sadly lost to breast cancer far too young). Erica took one look at Shanoon, laughed, and immediately dubbed me Noon. Only she ever referred to me as Noon, but it stuck with me in a different way. I still hear her voice sometimes, clear as day, saying “I’ll bet Noon knows.” It comes whenever I need a little boost of confidence.

So for the boss who empowered me and believed I knew before I did - I’ve dubbed this venture Noon Knows.
